The main goal of the workshop: to get the theoretical and practical basis on the characteristics and therapeutical use of all main and secondary bee products (honey, honeydew honey, propolis, beeswax, royal jelly, Apilarnil, queen embryons/larva, bee larva, bee bread, bee pollen, bee venom, beehive air, the bee itself).

Presentation of the main objectives and structure of the Workshop.

Identification of the specific interests of each participant.

08:40-11.00

• The Bee Colony - general and specific characteristics
• Basic knowledge on Medicinal Beekeeping.
• Sensorial (palatable) analysis of the main bee products (honey, honeydew honey, propolis, beeswax, royal jelly, Apilarnil, bee bread, bee pollen, bee venom) in both their raw and processed forms;
• Methods to establish the Quality of the bee products.

11:00-11:30 Honey-Tea-Coffee break

11:30-13:00

• Prevention and Treatment of the adverse reactions caused by the bee products - Theory and Practice.
• Intra-veinous honey injections
• Technics of Osteopathy adapted to Apitherapy (demonstrations)
• Acupressure and reflexotherapy with various apitherapics (demonstrations)
• Honey detox massage
• Apipuncture technics (demonstrations)

13:00-14:30 Lunch.

14:30-16:00

• How to best individualize the posology/administration of bee products in clinical medicine according to the specific needs of each patient.
• Practical demonstrations of best administration methods used in Apitherapy and Apipuncture.

16:00-16:30 Honey-Tea-Coffee break

16:30-18:30

Experience exchange between the participants.

Clinical case studies.
